The National Award for Combating Violence against Women was launched in 2015 to encourage all citizens to undertake innovative work in the field of combating violence against women and girls, as well as sensitization and raising awareness through the dissemination and reward of such initiatives. The four themes of the award were focused on the religious, legal, media and societal perspectives in this field.
